Milkshake loves sustainability

This is how Milkshake left Westerpark. This festival claims to love sustainability. It sealed off most the park for locals for 10 days during a heatwave and now there is nothing left to enjoy at all. The park is also full of balloons and trash, and this is where neighborhood kids are supposed to play outdoors during their summer holidays. Locals pay taxes for upkeep of the public space and parks, and this what they get from their so called green city council.

Significant detail: Milkshake also an indoor version of this festival in Rotterdam, so perhaps Amsterdam finally will listen to the locals that have been asking to move festivals like these to indoor locations since they basically turn it into one by placing walls and destroying the park to suit their needs.
